Kolkata, April 10 (IANS) The West Bengal unit of the BJP on Wednesday filed a grievance with the Election Fee of India (ECI) flagging the reported distribution of train copies carrying the image of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee within the state-run colleges, calling it a violation of the Mannequin Code of Conduct (MCC).
In its grievance, the BJP claimed that by distributing such copies, the state authorities is spreading the Chief Minister’s ‘propaganda’, which is a whole violation of the MCC.
The BJP management argued that when the MCC is in power, public cash from the state exchequer can’t be used for pushing the state authorities’s ‘agenda’.
The BJP additionally requested the ballot panel to instantly intervene and move an order to withdraw the copies carrying the Chief Minister’s image from the state-run colleges the place they’ve been distributed.
