Bangkok, June 2 (IANS) Jaismine Lamboria secured her spot for the Paris Olympics after defeating Mali’s Marine Camara 5-0 within the quarterfinals of the 57kg class on the World Olympic Boxing Qualifiers in Bangkok on Sunday.
With the win, Jaismine secured the sixth boxing quota for India after Nikhat Zareen (girls’s 50kg), Preeti Pawar (girls’s 54kg), Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain (girls’s 75kg), Nishant Dev (males’s 71kg) and Amit Panghal (males’s 51kg).
The bronze medallist on the Commonwealth Video games took again the 57kg quota that India was compelled to surrender after Parveen Hooda’s 22-month suspension for a whereabouts failure.
